What does it mean to share a location privately?

Securely being able to share locations is critical to collaboration in the built environment. In IPX, you can securely share a location privately with intended recipients.

When shared, recipients will receive an email notification.

If those recipients are existing users they will be able to log in to their accounts and view the shared location under the "Shared with Me" tab in their dashboard.

If they are not existing IPX users, they will need to create an account in order to view the shared location under their "Shared with Me" tab.

Here are some example use cases for sharing privately:

1. Collaboration with other teams -- Your working on a project team where you need to collaborate on the early stages of a construction project. Securely share a location's assets with your entire project team.

2. Delivering customer assets -- You can now use our private sharing to securely deliver a location's 3D, 2D, and 1D assets to your customer.
