What is BIMIT?

Scan To BIM Made Simple

BIMIT is our digitization service that can process LiDAR data and convert it to accurate LOD 200+ 3D, 2D, and 1D assets.

Predictable pricing—always

Predictable turnaround time—always

Predictable payment process—always

Predictable LOD 300 BIM + CAD —always

The BIM Product digitally recreates the existing conditions of any space’s visible and accessible in Revit, CAD, and IFC format:

Interiors

What is BIMIT Complex MEPF?

BIMIT Complex MEPF is a highly specialized product that accurately depicts the mechanical, electrical, piping, and equipment within a Complex MEPF space.

The BIM Complex MEPF Product is LOD 200 and is standardized with specifications clearly outlining the standard space type, scope, tiers, detail, processing times, final deliverables, quality control checks, and rates. It’s a simple, standardized, and cost-effective solution to the complex engineering work required to satisfy the specialized engineering requirements of a mechanical room or floor.

What Level-of-Development (LOD) does the product achieve?

The Integrated Projects BIMIT product achieves a Level-of-Development (LOD) 200, as defined by the BIM Forum and BIM International. This means that the BIM is accurate in regards to placement and sizing of elements. The product does not include material information or specifications, and makes no claim of construction-grade accuracy.

At least (1) scope from Architecture or Site required. Existing conditions of above ground site topography, hardscaping and street furniture.

6

Architecture

At least (1) required

At least (1) scope from Architecture or Site required. Existing conditions of facade elements and exterior architecture.

7

Furniture

Optional Add-on

Existing conditions of exterior fixed and loose furniture, and equipment. Requires Exterior Site.

8

Complex MEPF

Automatically assigned

Existing conditions of visible exterior complex MEPF systems in which MEP systems represent the primary use of the space. Does allow user to select require interior nor exterior architecture.

BIMIT Accuracy

Due to the possibility of receiving incomplete, partial, or misaligned point clouds from Users, BIMIT does not make any guarantees or assurances regarding the accuracy of the Building Information Model (BIM). At best, a complete pointcloud that satisfies all “best scanning practices” and prerequisites may allow for an accurate BIM within 1” - 4” of accuracy to true site conditions. However, a variety of factors may cause larger margins of inaccuracy from true site conditions.

BIMIT Disclaimers

Clarifications on what to expect when using BIMIT. Users are responsible for product limitations and incompatibilities.

#

Product Disclaimers

1

BIMIT has been modeled at a Level-of-Development 200. This can be compared to a Schematic Design-level BIM.

2

BIMIT was created using Autodesk Revit. Users will have to upgrade BIMIT to their respective version of Revit.

3

BIMIT uses default Revit families and generic templates.

4

BIMIT requires Users to re-link the RCS point file within Revit.

5

BIMIT is not a substitute for field verification or field surveying by design and construction professionals.

6

Due to the possibility of receiving incomplete or partial point clouds from Users, BIMIT does not make any guarantees or assurances regarding the accuracy of the Building Information Model (BIM).

BIMIT Order Delays

BIMIT may be delayed for submission for the following reasons:

#

Reason for Delay

Delay Description

Common Causes

Troubleshoot

1001

Order did not arrive

If a New Order Request from BIMIT does not arrive to IP servers, this will cause a delay in processing time.

Internal Server Errors, payload incorrectly formatted, missing/incorrect authentication.

IP team will check logs to determine the cause of the issue then contact BIMIT User to confirm of updated status.

1002

Order is missing information

If a New Order Request from BIMIT arrives to IP servers but with incomplete information, this will cause a delay in processing time.

-

IP team will contact BIMIT User to gather missing information.

1003

Order capacity exceeded

If the amount of New Order Requests have exceeded the daily capacity to accept new orders, this will cause a delay in processing time.

-

IP team will BIMIT User and notify them that the order may not be delivered within the typical timeline.

1004

Order submission failed

IP tries to upload assets or send information to User but it fails.

Server or service outages.

IP team will contact BIMIT User, notifying them of a failed delivery and re-send the final deliverables.
